DURHAM, N.C. - The Boston College volleyball team was swept, 3-0, by the No. 14 ranked Duke Blue Devils Saturday night in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
BC trailed 13-11 in game one, but the Eagles were unable to cut anymore into the deficit, dropping the game, 30-24. Duke kept the momentum going as they won game two (30-21) and game three (30-25) to sweep the Eagles.
BC freshman Dani Moskitis registered her first career double-double by contributing a career-high 36 assists and tying a career-high with 13 digs. Senior Kelsey Johnson also recorded a double-double by tallying 13 kills and 10 digs on the evening.
The loss drops BC to 7-6 overall on the season, 1-2 in the ACC. The win improves Duke to 8-3 overall, and keeps their ACC record undefeated at 3-0.
The Eagles next game is Thursday, Sept. 27 when BC hosts NC State. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Chestnut Hill.
