Boyle Earns AHCA All-America First-Team Recognition

Boston College senior Brian Boyle has earned 2006-07 All-America first-team recognition according to an announcement made by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) on Friday in St. Louis.
Boyle, an All-Conference first-team selection, leads Boston College in scoring. He enters the 2007 national championship game against Michigan State with 52 points - 18 goals and 34 assists. He captured the Hockey East scoring title with 37 points - 13 goals and 24 assists - in league play.
The Hingham, Mass., resident earned All-Tournament recognition at the Hockey East Tournament, where he switched from the forward lines to defense and recorded eight points -- two goals and six assists. The following weekend, he captured All-Tournament team honors at defense at the NCAA Tournament's Northeast Regional in Manchester, N.H.
Boyle has recorded 139 career points - 64 goals and 75 assists - in 158 games.
Boston College and Michigan State will face off in the national title game on Saturday, April 7, in St. Louis' Scottrade Center at 7 p.m. EST. The game will be television nationally on ESPN.
