The Boston College hockey team departed Conte Forum on Tuesday, April 3, at 12:45 p.m. and arrived in St. Louis, Missouri, for the 2007 NCAA Tournament's Frozen Four. The 2007 season marks the program's seventh Frozen Four appearance in the last 10 years.
BC, the second seed in the NCAA Tournament's Northeast Regional, advanced to the Frozen Four after winning two games - against St. Lawrence and against Miami. The team will face North Dakota, which defeated Michigan and Minnesota (in overtime) in the West Regional, in the semifinal-round play on Thursday at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
The Eagles enter the Frozen Four having won each of the last 12 games. During this stretch, BC has outscored its opponents, 55-19. The team has converted 34.6 percent (18-of-52) of its power-play chances and has killed penalties at a 91.9 percent clip (57-of-62).
Prior to the team's Monday practice, BC's Paul Gallivan painted the St. Louis Frozen Four logo on the Kelley Rink ice.
