Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Men's Golf team traveled to New London, North Carolina this past weekend to compete in the ACC Championships. While the end result (11th/11) was not in the Eagles favor, junior Bob Reed turned in a very impressive performance. Reed finished tied for 15th overall, with a three-day total of 217 (+1).
Reed shot 71 each of the first two days, and sat tied for sixth, a mere three strokes off the pace, heading into the third and final day.
With a third-day score of 75, Reed slipped to 15th, but was far and away the lowest-shooting Eagle. Freshman Jan Prokop finished tied for 40th with a total score of 225 (+9). Junior Alex Snickenberger finished 52nd with a score of 237 (+21), while junior James Granello and senior Kyle Kelly tied for 53rd with scores of 241 (+25).
The tournament ended in a tie with Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech finishing as Co-Champions.
