Boston College Rowing Competes in Season-Opening Regatta

The Boston College women's rowing team opened their spring season -- and second year in the ACC -- on Saturday, March 31 on the Charles River. The Eagles faced crews from Northeastern and Dartmouth.
The Eagles competed in Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Novice Eight, and Varsity Four races. Dartmouth was victorious in the first varsity and novice cmpetitions, while Northeastern won the second varsity and varsity four. BC came in third throughout the day's competition, though the novice eight finished in 7:36.6 -- 11.4 seconds behind Northeastern.
Boston College will compete in the Resolute Cup next weekend against URI and Bucknell in Kingston, R.I. Last April, the Eagles beat the Rhode Island Rams in four of five races -- earning ACC Crew of the Week honors.
