
Women's Tennis Falls To No. 15 Duke

WEYMOUTH, Mass.- The Eagles faced yet another ranked team in the difficult ACC conference, as they dropped a 6-1 decision to 15th ranked Duke University at the Weymouth Club last night. The loss is BC's third in a row and drops their overall record to 4-8 and 0-4 in conference play. Duke improves to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in ACC action.
The Blue Devils would sweep the doubles point, as the 12th-ranked Duke duo of senior Daniela Berceck and sophomore Melissa Mang defeated Dasha Cherkasov and Lauren Cash, 8-5, at the No. 1 spot. Bercek and Mang are a perfect 10-0 on the season, with all of the tandem's wins coming at the No. 1 position.
In singles action, Duke would take five of six matches, with sophomore Lana Krasnopolsky getting a hard fought 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (4) win at No.1 singles for the Eagles. 106th-ranked Plotkin was victorious at No. 2 over Dasha Cherkasov, and Amanda Granson notched a tough win at No. 3 over Lauren Cash, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (4)
