
Men's Tennis Falls To No. 29 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Men's tennis headed to Florida yesterday looking for a win but instead dropped a 7-0 decision to 29th ranked Florida State, handing the Eagles their fifth loss in a row. BC falls to 4-11 overall and 0-4 in conference play while Florida State improves to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in ACC action.
Florida State took quick control of doubles play beginning in position number two as senior Ytai Abougzir and sophomore Maciek Sykut defeated BC's Sam Wagner and Brian Garber 8-2 while junior Sam Chang and senior Jonathas Sucupira clinched the Florida State doubles point with a 8-2 decision over the Eagles' Soma Kesthley and Alex Rastorgouev.
The Seminoles continued to control play in singles competition as freshman Bradley Mixson defeated BC's Geoff Mueller on court six 6-2, 6-0 immediately followed by #119 Aubone on center court with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Soma Kesthley of Boston College.
At position three, Maciek Sykut clinched the Florida State match victory after downing BC's Alex Rastorgouev 6-1, 6-1 while Sam Chang won on court four over the Eagles' Dennis Deardon 6-1, 6-2.
