CHESTNUT Hill, Mass. - Volleyball kicks off its spring season this weekend when they travel to Storrs, Conn. to play in the Connecticut Invitational. The Eagles are scheduled to play in three other tournaments this spring, including one at Power Gym, scheduled for April 14.
"We are looking forward to our spring competitions, as we have eight players in the gym right now. With the loss of seven talented seniors, we are focusing on forming a new identity and shaping our systems to fit our current roster," said head coach Andrea Leonard.
"This spring we are excited about the opportunity to travel to George Washington University and compete against nationally ranked Penn State. We will be facing teams from the Big Ten, ACC, and Big East. This is a very exciting spring for us in that we will get to travel, bond as a team and play some high level competition to prepare us for the fall," the coach continued.
BC finished the 2006 season with an overall record of 12-19 and was 10-12 in ACC action.
