
Men's Tennis Falls To No. 47 Maryland

WEYMOUTH, Mass. - Men's tennis took on their second ranked opponent in less than a week yesterday afternoon as they faced No. 47 Maryland at the Weymouth Club, but dropped a 6-1 decision to the Terrapins. The loss is the Eagles' fifth in a row and drops their overall record to 4-10 and 0-3 in ACC action.
Maryland began the afternoon sweeping the doubles competition giving them the first point of the match. The Terps would then take five of the six singles flights, securing the 6-1 victory. Sophomore Boris Fetbroyt earned the decisive point defeating Dennis Reardon at No. 6 singles, 7-5, 6-1.
Senior Soma Kesthely picked up a win at No. 1 singles for the Eagles, defeating Nicolas Frayssinoux, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
The Eagles next take the court on Friday, March 23 when they travel to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on Florida State at 5:00 p.m.
