Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Eagles Softball team lost an 8-0 decision to host University of Hawaii on Friday afternoon. Hawaii's Justine Smethurst spun a complete game shutout, holding the Eagles to just two hits.
The Rainbow Wahine scored once in the second inning, and once again in the third, to take a 2-0 lead. Freshman starting pitcher Taylor Peyton gave way to Senior Britney Thompson in the fourth.
In the fifth, Hawaii got a three-run homer from Kate Robinson, who hit well against the Eagles all week. Hawaii scored three more runs in the eighth and cruised to the 8-0 win.
