HANOVER, N.H. - In their first dual match in over two weeks, men's tennis traveled to New Hampshire yesterday looking for a win, but dropped a 6-1 decision to the Big Green of Dartmouth College. With the win, Dartmouth improves to 6-1, while the Eagles fall to 1-4 in dual match play.
Senior Soma Kesthely would earn the lone win for the Eagles as he would defeat Dartmouth's David Waslen, 6-3, 7-6 at the No. 1 position, improving his overall singles record to 9-5. Unfortunately, the Big Green would prove to be too tough for the Eagles, as they would win the remaining singles matches in straight sets.
On the doubles side, Dartmouth had little trouble with the Eagles' top two tandems as they would earn 8-3 decisions in each of the two matches. The Eagles third duo of Alex Rastorgouev and Brian Garber fought hard but dropped a close 8-6 decision.
BC will look to get back on the winning track as they next take on cross-town rival Boston University, February 9 at 2:30 p.m. at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
