Ayla Brown Gets Honorable Mention Nod By ACC

CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College freshman forward Ayla Brown was selected an honorable mention ACC All-Freshman team honoree.
Brown is the first freshman at Boston College to be honored by the ACC. Earlier in the week, Brown's teammate Kathrin Ress was named to the All-ACC third-team.
Brown, a native of Wrentham, MA, has played in 27 games and started 15. A high-energy player, Brown is the second leading scorer for the Eagles at 8.2 points per game. She is also second on the team in rebounds per game with a 5.9 average.
She has notched double figures in points 10 times and rebounds twice. In her debut, Brown scored 14 points and had eight rebounds. She scored a career-high 18 in a win over Clemson. Brown also recorded a career-high in rebounds (14) in a win over Wake Forest.
Brown joins nine other freshmen around the conference to be honored by the ACC.
