Chestnut Hill, Mass. - A number of women turned in excellent performances at the ACC Track and Field Championships held over the weekend. Senior Kasey Hill, Junior Tiana Riel, and Sophomore Katherine Sherman all took part in the pentathlon, and turned in personal best scores.
Hill took first place in the 800m run and second place in the 60m hurdles en route to a fourth-place finish overall. Riel took sixth place overall, driven by a third-place finish in the long jump. Sherman finished in eighth place, thanks to a third-place finish in the 800m and a fifth-place finish in the high jump. All three earned team points for their performances.
In other action, Freshman Caitlin Bailey finished second in the 800m run. Bailey's time of 2:06.75 is the second-fastest mark on the BC women's all-time indoor list. The mark is also the 11th-fastest time run in the nation this year, and qualifies her for the NCAAs.
In the mile run, Freshman Jessica Driscoll and Sophomore Nichole Lister finished fourth and fifth respectively. The women's distance medley relay team comprised of Lister, Junior Alison Fogarty, Freshman Samantha Gawrych, and Senior Jessica Flinn took fifth overall.
