St. Paul, Minn.--Boston College incoming freshman Ashlan Lambert of Eden Prairie, Minnesota attended yesterday's 12th annual Ms. Hockey Awards banquet in St. Paul, Minnesota as one of five finalists for the award. The Ms. Hockey award is given annually to Minnesota's top female high school ice hockey player.
Lambert did not receive the award, but being named a finalist is in itself a prestigious honor. Current Eagle freshmen Allie Thunstrom and Anna McDonald were two of last year's five finalists. Thunstrom went on to become 2006 Ms. Hockey.
Lambert, a defenseman for Eden Prairie, scored 26 points on five goals and 21 assists through 25 games. She also owns a 3.88 grade-point average. Lambert is one of several student-athletes who has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Boston College in 2007-08.
