Women's Golf Wraps Up Fall Schedule

AUSTIN, TEXAS - The women's golf team ended their fall season by placing ninth out of 13 teams at the Challenge at Wolfdancer hosted by Texas State on Sunday and Monday.
The team combined for a score of 948 over three rounds of play, ending at 85-over-par. They were led by freshman Kelsey Rockey and sophomore Megan Martinek, who tied for 20th, shooting a 236 (22-over-par). Senior Katie Napleton finished second on the team, tying for 35th and finishing with a 240 (24-over-par).
Northwestern placed first in the tournament, combining to score a 911 over three rounds, equaling a 47-over-par performance. Sophomore Hannah Burke of Baylor took home the tournament's top individual honors, carding a 217 (one-over-par). Her performance set a course record at the Wolfdancer Golf Club.
The women's golf team will take a break in action before they begin ACC competition in the new year.
