CLEMSON, SC - Freshman Tommy Drake scored with 4:18 left to go in regulation to lead Clemson to a 1-0 win over sixth-ranked Boston College in an Atlantic Coast Conference men's soccer match at Riggs Field on Sunday afternoon.
Boston College falls to 11-4-1 overall and 6-1-0 in league play. Clemson improves to 7-10-1 overall and 2-6-0 in the ACC.
Drake scored his fifth goal of the season in the 86th minute of play. Mark Buchholz threw the ball in from the right side. David Newton flicked the ball to his left. The ball bounced once and Drake rifled a shot from 12 yards out just inside the left post.
Next, Boston College will host Virginia Tech on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at Newton Campus Soccer Field.
