Women's Golf Takes Third At ECAC Division One Championships

Williamsburg, Va.-- The Boston College women's golf team had their best finish of the fall season, placing third out of 15 at the ECAC Division One Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
The team shot a combined score of 631, ending the tournament at 55-over-par. Freshman Kelsey Rockey, in her third performance as an Eagle, led the team with a fourth place finish, shooting a 153 over the two rounds. Senior Lara Smilnak and sophomore Natalie Draganza tied for 18th place in the tournament, ending with a 14-over-par performance. Megan Martinek finished third on the team with a score of 162 and tying for 32nd.
Harvard won the championship with a total score of 600. Lehigh placed second with a combined 618. Harvard's Claire Sheldon took top individual honors, ending the tournament at one-over-par and shooting a 145 over the two rounds.
The women will wrap up their fall tournament schedule on Nov. 4 and 5 at the Texas State Invitational in Austin, Texas.
