
Men's Golf Places Tenth At Mission Inn Collegiate Classic

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla.-- In the third tournament of the fall season, the Boston College men's golf team took 10th place out of 18 teams at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic held on Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sunday Oct. 7.
Sophomore Jan Prokop had his best performance, leading the team with a score of 148 over three rounds and finishing at six-over-par. Senior Bob Reed came in second for the Eagles, shooting a 149 and tying for 26th. Wrapping up the team's top performers was senior Nick Lawler, who ended at ten-over-par, shooting a 150 over the three rounds.
The team combined to shoot a 599, completing the tournament at 31-over-par. Lipscomb won the tournament with a combined score of 579, an eleven-over-par performance. Lipscomb's Cody Hale and Western Kentucky's Brent Long tied for first place, ending the two-day tournament at six-under-par.
On Saturday Oct. 13 and Sunday Oct 14, the men will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete in the Big Five Championship. The fall campaign will end with a trip to Texas for the Roadrunner Invitational on Oct. 29 and 30.
