Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Junior forward Bob Dirks scored one goal and one assist in twelfth-ranked Boston College's 5-2 win over New Hampshire on Sunday. The three points bring her career total at BC to 102 points, breaking the school's all-time record of 100, set by Joy Ramsbotham (1995-98).
In her three years as an Eagle, Dirks has scored 42 goals, which ties her with two former players at the top of the all-time goals list.
Dirks is the Eagles' leading scorer with 34 points. She has scored 12 goals and recorded 10 assists in 2007. She is the only BC player to be in double digits in both categories.
As a sophomore, Dirks was named Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year. She led the ACC in goals, netting 19 over the season. She also led the conference in shots per game (4.55), tied for the lead for game-winning goals (6) and listed third in points per game (2.10). Dirks was named to the 2006 All-ACC team and was also honored with All-American and All-Northeast awards.
Boston College plays two more regular season games before returning home to host the ACC tournament at the Newton Campus Turf Field on Nov. 1, 2 and 4. The Eagles are 12-5 overall, 1-3 in the ACC and have one more conference matchup at Wake Forest.
