CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The men's tennis team traveled to Providence, R.I. on Saturday to play their first team match of the season, but dropped a 6-1 decision to the Bears of Brown University.
Senior Soma Kesthely earned a hard fought victory at No. 1 singles as he defeated Saurabh Kohli 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5). Kesthely would be the Eagles lone bright spot in singles as the Bears would win the remaining matches in straight sets.
On the doubles side, BC's tandem of Thomas Nolan and Jason Sechrist battled but fell short dropping an 8-5 decision to Brown's Basu Ratnam and Zach Pasanen. The Bears would sweep the doubles giving them the 6-1 victory.
