Men's Soccer Defeats Quinnipiac, 5-1

Junior forward Charlie Davies scored his team-leading seventh and eighth goals of the season and Boston College scored four unanswered goals in the second half to earn a 5-1 non-conference victory over Quinnipiac on Tuesday in Hamden, Conn.
Sophomore midfielder Reuben Ayarna registered one goal - his first of the season - and two assists in the match.
Goalkeeper Chris Brown made his first collegiate start for BC. The 6-foot-5-inch junior recorded four saves to earn the win.
The visiting Eagles (5-4-0) out shot the Bobcats, 22-10. Brown's counterpart Paul Fleck recorded five saves in goal for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac (0-6-1) scored the game's first goal at 17:44 on Tyler Sheikh's second goal of the season.
Senior Jamen Amato got the Eagles on the scoreboard at 25:26 to tie the score at one goal each.
Davies, who assisted on BC's first goal of the match, registered consecutive goals at 65:00 and 70:07 to put BC on top for good.
Less than three minutes later, Ayarna gave BC a three-goal lead on his first goal of the season.
Sophomore Ryan Sherman, who was also credited with an assist on Davies' gamewinner, scored at 81:23. Amato assisted on the score.
Sherman and Amato, who each recorded one goal and one assist in the game, registered their first points of the season.
