Oxford, OH. - Trying to bounce back from a five game battle with the Bruins of Belmont, the Eagles could not get it going as they fell to Western Kentucky University in three straight games at the Miami University (OH) tournament.
The Lady toppers set the tone early as BC fell behind quickly in game one 20-10 and could not cut the deficit by less than nine points the rest of the game.
In game two, the Eagles again trailed early but were able to close within one point 25-26 on their serve. But, that would be as close as they would get as Western Kentucky closed the game out with four consecutive points.
Again leading the attack for the Eagles was Junior Kelsey Johnson as she posted 15 kills and 14 digs. Junior Abigail Hasebroock also chipped in for BC with eight kills. Sophomore Megan Argabright led the Lady Toppers with 19 kills.
The win improves Western Kentucky's record to 5-2 as BC falls to 0-2. The Eagles will look to record their first win of the season as they take on Miami Univrsity (OH) in the final game of the Miami University tournament on September 2 at 7:00pm.
