Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The coed sailing team is ranked number one in the country and the women's team is also ranked in the top 15, positioned at number seven, according to the Sailing College Rankings. The rankings, determined by Sailing World's coaches panel, are published in Sailing World magazine twice a semester and are voted on by a panel of three coaches.
The Eagles' coed team had previously been ranked seventh, while the women's team held steady in the seventh position finishing ahead of area schools Tufts and Harvard.
The coed team kicks off the upcoming season at Yale University on September 2 when it competes for the Harry Anderson Trophy. The women's team will race one week later at MIT.
