Women's Lacrosse Defeated By No. 8 Dartmouth, 16-2

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Freshman Jenna McCabe scored BC's first goal of the game and also led the Eagles with two draw controls as the No. 8 Dartmouth Big Green defeated BC, 16-2. Senior Lizette Blohm scored the Eagles' second goal of the night and junior Katherine Wagoner and freshmen Margot Spatola and Lauren Fitzpatrick led the Eagles with two ground balls each. Senior Kristen Zimmer led the Big Green with seven points on five goals and two assists. The Eagles finish the regular-season with an overall record of 8-9.
The Big Green opened up the first half strong scoring three goals in the first three minutes of the half. Barry started the scoring for Dartmouth and tallied two more goals while adding two assists to finish off the half. Dartmouth scored 12 unanswered in the goals in the first half. Senior Casey Hazel and juniors Sarah Szefi, Whitney Douthett and Jen Pittman all scored two goals each in the Big Green's offensive attack. It wasn't until the second half when the Eagles were finally able to get on the board.
The Eagles jumped on the board first in the second half as McCabe scored BC's first goal at 28:09 from classmate Maura Mahoney. Dartmouth scored four straight goals before the Eagles recorded the final goal of the game as Blohm scored on a free-position shot, to make the final scored, 16-2.
Freshman Katie Monaghan started the game before sophomore Courtney Zwirko came in relief of Monaghan with 22:49 left in the half. Zwirko made three saves. Senior Tara McKennett played the entire second half allowing four goals while making six saves on the night.
