Bridget Regan Earns All-ACC Team Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. - Junior Bridget Regan captured All-ACC team honors, according to an announcement made by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday, April 22. Regan joins 13 other ACC rowers on the 2006 All-ACC Team.
Regan helped lead the Eagles to a fifth-place finish in their first-ever ACC Championships. The Milton, Mass. resident raced in the Big East Championships in each of her two previous seasons at BC.
Regan was the only Eagle to earn All-ACC team honors. Virginia had the most selections (five) to the all-conference team, followed by Duke with three, Miami and Clemson each with two and BC and North Carolina each with one.
Virginia's second varsity eight crew earned ACC Crew of the Year honors after winning its race by over 14 seconds on Saturday. The Cavaliers posted a time of 6:36.6, while Duke followed second, clocking in at 6:50.8.
Duke head coach Robyn Horner gained ACC Coach of the Year accolades. The Blue Devils finished second overall at Saturday's ACC Championships.
