Spillane Lands on New England All-Star Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College women's ice hockey player, Deborah Spillane was named to the New England Hockey Writers Division I All-Star team.
Spillane, a sophomore forward, who was also named to the Hockey East Second-Team this season, led the Eagles in total points for the second season in a row. Spillane notched 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 total points in all 35 games this year.
Spillane earned several honors over the season including being named Hockey East Player of the Week and Player of the Month, being named to the Hockey East Honor Roll several times as well as earning the Beanpot's MVP in BC's first-ever title.
The Eagles completed their most successful season in the program's history since becoming a varsity program in 1994-95. BC won 20 overall games while also earning its most conference wins (16) and finished second in the Hockey East standings. The Eagles lost in the Hockey East championship game to New Hampshire after winning their first-ever tournament game beating Providence College in the semifinals.
The New England Hockey All-Stars will be honored at the hockey writers' annual banquet, to be held on Thursday, April 13, at the Prince of Pizza Restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus, Mass.
