March 29, 2006
Boston College senior forward Craig Smith will undergo surgery on his left wrist on Thursday, March 30, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, Mass.
Smith suffered the injury - a torn ligament - in the overtime session of Boston College's overtime loss to Villanova on March 24.
Dr. Paul Feldon will perform the surgery.
Amazingly, Smith never missed a game in his four-year collegiate career because of injury. The Los Angeles resident played in 130 games, totaling 2,349 points and 1,114 rebounds. He ranks second on Boston College's career scoring list and first on its career rebounding list.
Smith did miss one game - the 2004-05 season opener against Maine - because of sickness.
