Raleigh, N.C. - The Boston College women's track and field team competed at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, NC on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25. The event was hosted by North Carolina State University.
Nichole Lister placed second overall in 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:30.25. Nikki Tufts finished the race in 4:38.99 for 11th, while Jessica Flinn was the 14th-place finisher. Flinn finished in 4:40.04. Mallory Champa won the unseeded 1500 meter race with a timne of 4:36.32.
In the 400-meter dash Alison Fogarty placed 28th with a time of 58.75 seconds.
Mary Heitkamp placed eighth in the 800. Heitkamp crossed the finish line in 2:13.84.
Maria Cicero finished 10th in the 5,000 with a time of 17:02.14.
Kasey Hill finished 25th in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.13 seconds, and Katherine Sherman finished in 29th place. Sherman ran the race in 15.15.
Anne Hessberg finished fifth overall in the 3,000 steeplchase with a time of 10:49.22, while Kristen Coon ran the race in 11:18.27, for 12th place.
The Boston College 4x400 relay team placed sixth overall in 3:49.99, and the 4x800 relay team completed the race in 9:25.34. The 4x1500 relay team finished second in 18:47.37. The 1600 sprint medley team placed sixth overall in 4:05.85.
Julie Regan competed in the high jump, finishing tied for ninth with a mark of 5-03.00.
The Eagles compete again on April 1 at the SCSU Invitational in New Haven, Conn.
