Taverna Lands on All-USCHO Rookie Team

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College women's ice hockey player, Maggie Taverna, was named to the All-USCHO Rookie Team, as annoucned by USCHO.com on March, 21.
Taverna, who was also named to the Hockey East Second-Team and the Hockey East All-Rookie team this season, led all BC defenseman with seven goals and 11 assists. Taverna ranked fifth on the team in points this year (18) and played in all 35 games for the Eagles.
The Eagles completed their most successful season in the program's history since becoming a varsity program in 1994-95. BC won 20 overall games while also earning its most conference wins (16) and finished second in the Hockey East standings. The Eagles lost in the Hockey East championship game to New Hampshire after winning their first-ever tournament game beating Providence College in the semifinals.
