Dudley Named ACC Co-Player Of The Week

Boston College's Jared Dudley and Florida State's Al Thornton have been named Co-ACC Players of the Week.
Dudley, a 6-7 junior forward, averaged 27.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game as the Eagles split two league contests. The San Diego, Calif., native shot 66.7 percent from the field (18-for-27), 57.1 percent from three-point range (4-for-7) and 87.5 percent from the foul line (14-for-16) while playing in all 80 minutes of both games.
Thornton, a 6-7 junior forward, tied his career-high with 37 points and pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds in Saturday's 97-96 overtime loss at No. 2 Duke Saturday. The Perry, Ga., native averaged 26.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists on the week as the Seminoles split a pair of conference games.
For the second-straight week, Virginia Tech forward A.D. Vassallo has been selected as the ACC Rookie of the Week. The Toa Baja, P.R., freshman scored in double figures in both Hokie games this past week. Vassallo had 13 points, six rebounds and two assists in Thursday's 63-62 win over Georgia Tech. In Saturday's 74-73 loss to 15th-ranked Boston College, the 6-6, 213-pound freshman had 14 points and four rebounds.
