
Women's Tennis Drops Columbia

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team (2-0) made a strong comeback in singles play to down Ivy League foe Columbia 5-2 in Chestnut Hill.
After losing two of three doubles matches and dropping a point to the Lions, BC powered their way to five singles victories, keyed by Sarah Svoboda's 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win, the first of her career.
Szilvia Szegedi continued her fine early season play, dismissing Milena Kachar 6-2, 6-2. Freshmen Dasha Cherkasov and Lana Krasnopolsky earned their second individual wins of the season. Lindsey Nash also added a hard fought 5-7, 6-3, 1-0 (8) win, to cap off the victory.
The Eagles continue play tomorrow in Providence R.I. against Brown at 11 a.m.
