
Women's Tennis Takes Down Yale 5-2

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - The Boston College women's tennis team lost the early doubles point, but rallied to win five of the six singles matches to down visiting Yale 5-2.
No. 94 ranked Szilvia Szegedi earned a 6-2, 6-3 win to start singles play, while freshman Dasha Cherkasov followed suit with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
No 73 ranked Lana Krasnopolsky and Alina Sullivan earned hard fought wins finishing off Ashley Mills and Aimee Kim. Gia Nafarrete was also clutch in the No. 6 position, winning 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (6).
Cherkasov and Krasnopolsky continue to be the Eagles most formidable doubles team, winning 8-3. BC is now 4-0 against Ivy League competitors this season.
The Eagles return to action with a west coast swing next week against Loyola Marymount, Cal-State Fullerton and Long Beach State.
