No. 6 Co-ed Sailing Takes Rose Bowl

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College co-ed sailing began the year on the right foot by winning the Rose Bowl in Long Beach, CA, the first intersectional of 2006. Reed Johnson and Julie Howe took home a decisive victory in the B division. Skipper Adam Roberts and crew Justine O'Connor placed third in the A division as the team's combined effort gave the Eagles a nine point victory over Hawaii.
Ranked sixth in the nation, the Eagles bested a strong field of 23 teams that included six of the top ten teams in the nation. After taking home their seventh major event of the 2005-06 school year, the No. 6 Eagles are poised to make a jump in the rankings.
The co-ed squad next travels to Charleston on February 25-26 for the Bob Bavier Team Race Intersectional.
