BOSTON (AP) -- Brooke Queenan had a career-high 25 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 21 Boston College to a 79-69 victory over Miami.
Aja Parham added 17 points, Lisa Macchia 12 and Kindyll Dorsey 11 as BC (19-6, 6-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) won its seventh straight game and evened an 82-68 loss to the Hurricanes in Coral Gables, Fla. on Jan. 19.
Macchia also had a career-high 14 rebounds.
Tamara James led the Hurricanes (15-9, 5-6) with 18 points, but she wasn't really a factor like in the teams' first meeting, when she had 25 points. Katie Hayek had 14 points and Renee Taylor 13.
The Eagles led 41-24 at halftime after shooting 54 percent (14-of-26) in the first half.
BC, which hit 11 of its first 19 shots, went on a 13-0 run early in the second half to take control. During the run, the Eagles controlled the boards and held Miami scoreless for 5:22. The Hurricanes also went 6:17 without a field goal.
Miami, which trailed by 25 with just over 10 minutes to play, closed the gap with a late charge.
The contest was close for the first 10½ minutes before Queenan and Dorsey keyed a 16-2 run over a 3:56 stretch. Queenan had seven points, including a 3-pointer from the corner that made it 37-20 with 5:17 to play. Dorsey had five points, and a 3 of her own that gave BC its first double-digit lead 32-20.
