Chris Collins Repeats As Hockey East Player of the Month

Boston College left wing Chris Collins has earned Hockey East Player of the Month honors - for the second consecutive month - according to an announcement made by the conference.
Collins registered 15 points - five goals and 10 assists - in eight games in January. The senior alternate captain has scored 40 points - 20 goals and 20 assists - through 24 games this season. He leads the nation in points per game (1.67), goals per game (0.83) and shorthanded goals (5).
The Fairport, N.Y., resident has tallied 99 career points - 49 goals and 50 assists - in 144 games.
Boston College, which is ranked third in both major polls released on Monday, faces Hockey East opponent Massachusetts in the Mullins Center on Friday, Feb. 3. The game is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast by NESN.
