Allison Anderson Named To AVCA All-Region Team

Lexington, Ky. - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the recipients of its 2006 All-Region Team yesterday and senior co-captain Allison Anderson has been named to the 2006 All-Region East team. This marks the first time that a Boston College volleyball player has earned this award.
Anderson, who hails from Moraga, Calif., is one of 12 players from the East region to earn this award. She recently earned All-ACC First-Team honors for the second consecutive year.
Anderson led the Eagles and the ACC with 5.54 digs per game, and also posted a 6.09 digs per game average in conference play, which also led the league. Anderson finished the year ranked 29th in the nation in digs per game.
