CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (AP) -- Jared Dudley scored 20 points and Sean Williams 16 to lead Boston College to its fourth straight win, spoiling the return of Fairfield head coach Ed Cooley with a 75-52 victory over the Stags on Wednesday night.
Sean Marshall scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half for the Eagles (5-2), who open their second season in the Atlantic Coast Conference against Maryland at home on Sunday.
Dudley added 8 rebounds and Williams, who had 27 blocked shots in his first four games after a two-game suspension, blocked 3 shots.
Devin Johnson paced the Stags (2-9) with 8 points.
Cooley, in his first season with the Stags, spent the last nine as an assistant at BC. He was applauded by the crowd before the game.
BC, which held a 31-21 halftime edge, pushed its lead to 38-23 on Marshall's breakaway jam 2:25 into the second half that capped a 7-0 spree. Dudley started the run with a 3-pointer from the left wing and followed with a short jumper.
Fairfield, playing against the Eagles for the first time since the 2003 NIT tournament, never moved closer than 8 points the rest of the way.
Williams' dunk gave BC its first 20-point lead of the game (63-43) with 5:40 to play.
