Dan Bertram Named To Canada's National Junior Team

Boston College junior forward Dan Bertram has been selected to Canada's 2007 National Junior Team, according to an announcement made by Hockey Canada. Team Canada will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Junior Championships from Dec. 26, 2006 to Jan. 5, 2007, in Leksand and Mora, Sweden.
Bertram is one of two BC hockey players that will compete at the 2007 World Junior Championship. BC teammate Nathan Gerbe was recently selected to Team USA.
Bertram is a native of Calgary, Alberta, and is one of 11 returning players from last year's Canadian team that captured the gold medal in Vancouver.
He has played in all 15 games for Boston College this season and has recorded nine points -- three goals and six assists.
Boston College is 9-5-1 and is ranked No. 7 according to both major national polls. The Eagles return to action on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 at Northeastern.
