CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Boston College junior forward Rebecca Miles, who was ruled ineligible by the NCAA in November, will sit out the remainder of the 2006-07 women's basketball season. On an appeal to the NCAA by Boston College, Miles was granted eligibility for her senior year (2007-08).
Miles was ruled ineligible by the NCAA due to a past association with a professional league in Australia.
Miles, a native of Queensland, Australia, transferred to Boston College from New Mexico Junior College. The 6-foot-1 forward helped New Mexico to a 14-13 record and earned honorable mention honors in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
