For the fifth consecutive year, sailing won the Timme Angsten Intersectional Regatta, held in Chicago over Thanksgiving weekend. This year's team of senior Spencer Powers, freshman Field Osler, and freshman Sandy Williams in the A division and senior Jay Connolly and sophomore Mallory Brown in the B division won the event by an impressive 44 point margin. Rounding out the top three were fellow NEISA Conference teams, University of Rhode Island and University of Vermont.
Chicago-based Eagle alumni Hans Pusch '00, Joy MacDougall '03, and Mark Teborek '03 supported the team throughout the weekend. Teborek was the winning A division skipper in 2002 when the Eagles' five-year winning streak began. The record for most consecutive wins of the Angsten is seven and is held by the Coast Guard Academy for their 1959-1965 victories.
