Eagles Varsity Four Finishes 4th/40 at Foot of Charles

Boston College women's rowing closed out the fall season this weekend at the Foot of the Charles in Boston on Saturday, Nov. 18, but not before winning the women's varsity eight race and placing in the top 10 in both the varsity four with coxswain and novice eight.
The Eagles' varsity eight finished first out of eight entries with a time of 15 minutes and 8.1 seconds. Northeastern was the closest boat to the Eagles with a second-place time of 15 minutes and 24.8 seconds. The Eagles in the winning boat were Nicole LeFrancois, Elizabeth Keyser, Kimberly Marakovits, Anna Dehen, Jaclyn Davison, Aimee Wessel, Heather Schofield, Liz Orofino, and Ann Reilly.
Boston College's next best finish came in the varsity fours with coxswain. The Eagles had two entries, finishing fifth and 28th out of 40 entries. The boat that placed fifth finished in 15 minutes 24.2 seconds, beating "A" boats from BU, Cornell, UMass, MIT, UNH, and Army.
The novice program had a strong showing as well. Boston College entered four boats in the novice eight race, garnering two top 15 finishes. Placing fifth out of 30 boats were Libby O'Toole, Kaki Stamateris, Mary Stinson, Abbe Turner, Jamie Lawlor, Arielle Farber, Victoria Havlicek, Rosanne Burns, and Marlene O'Hara.
The Eagles are back in action on March 10, 2007 with a Spring Break scrimmage scheduled against Clemson and Penn in Lake Hartwell, S.C.
