Kitty Hawk, N.C. - The Boston College men's golf team placed ninth out of 18 competing schools at the Seascape Invitational, hosted by Old Dominion University. The Eagles finished with a two round score of 586, tied with Kennesaw State. Campbell University (556), East Carolina (560), Winthrop (567), Old Dominion (569) and Radford (577) rounded out the top five finishers at the tournament. The meet was held at the Seascape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C.
The Eagles were led by junior Jim Granello, who was tied for 17th overall with a score of 143. Classmate Bob Reed tied for 33rd, shooting 146 over the two rounds of the tournament.
Senior Kyle Kelly tied for 39th with a score of 147. Junior Alex Snickenberger and freshman Jan Prokop also competed at the tournament, shooting 152 and 154, respectively over the two days.
The men's golf team will next tee-off in March during its spring schedule. The schedule will be posted on www.bceagles.com as soon as it becomes available.
