Indianapolis, Ind. -- Former Boston College athletics media relations intern Josh Centor has been charged with the responsibility of running the NCAA's first blog, the Double-A Zone (www.doubleazone.com).
The mission of the blog is to provide an inside look at hot NCAA issues and all things student-athlete. Josh reflects on his experiences as a baseball student-athlete at Brandeis University and on his time at Boston College in many of his posts. Many of his pieces about BC concentrate on the top-notch academic experience student-athletes are receiving in Chestnut Hill.
This week, BC senior tri-captain Brooke Queenan (West Chester, Pa.) adds her thoughts to the blogsphere. She shares some of her excitement about tonight's ACC opener and discusses her dream of reaching the Final Four in Boston. She also discusses how she and her teammates manage to balance their academic and athletic goals while they're on the road.
Last week, Queenan earned ACC Player of the Week honors for posting three double-doubles in three BC victories, averaging 22 points and 11.7 rebounds during the stretch. Queenan is averaging 14.6 points and 9.6 rebounds for the 12-2 Eagles.
