
Men's Tennis Drops Spring Season Opener to Brown

Providence, R.I. - Soma Kesthley took down Brown No. 1 Dan Henegby, but the Eagles fell to the No. 41 ranked Brown Bears 6-1 in Providence.
Kesthely won the first set of his match with Henegby, the No. 69 player in the country, and held on to earn a hard-fought 7-6(7), 6-7(5), 1-0(2) victory.
Four freshman Brian Hartness, Sam Wagner, Alex Rastorgouev, and Michael Reiser, played in the starting lineup for the Eagles, and all displayed strong efforts in their first-ever matches despite losing. Sophomore Jason Sechrist played at No. 2 for the Eagles and fell to Brown's Eric Thomas.
On the doubles side, the No. 50 ranked tandem of Philip Charm and Henegby took down Kesthely and Wagner 8-2. The tandem of Sechrist/Hartness won 8-4, while Dennis Reardon/Rastorgouev, fell 8-4.
The Eagles return to action Saturday, February 4 against Manhattan in Chestnut Hill.
