Durham, N.H. - The women's Track and Field team defeated the University of New Hampshire, Holy Cross and UMass in Durham, N.H. on Saturday, Jan. 21. The Eagles collected 141 points, while UNH tallied 131.5, and Holy Cross and UMass nabbed 93.5 and 7, respectively.
Alison Fogarty claimed first place in the 200-meter dash, while Katherine Sherman claimed third. Fogarty crossed the line in 26.79 seconds, while Sherman finished in 27.35. Fogarty also ran to first in the 400 with a time of 1:00.58.
Freshman Nichole Lister and Jessica Flinn finished first and second in the 800 with times of 2:18.50 and 2:19.39.
Jennifer Heyde and Anne Hessberg finished second and third for the Eagles as they ran the 1,000 in 3:00.71 and 3:05.20.
The Eagles swept the top three spots in the 1,500 as Flinn, Kristen Coon and Nikki Tufts ran the race in 4:41.83, 4:41.87 and 4:47.47.
In the 3,000 Coon and Tufts took the top two spots with times of 10:27.62 and 10:27.67.
The Boston College 4x400 relay team crossed the line first in 4:07.08, while the 4x800 relay team claimed top honors with a time of 9:43.56.
In the field events Sherman, Chelsea Halbmaier and Julie Regan swept first, second and third reaching heights of five feet, five inches and 5-03.00.
Carolyn Rayburn claimed the top spot in the pole vault with a mark of 11-01.75.
In the long jump Tiana Riel jumped 17-09.00 for first place, while also claiming victory in the triple jump, leaping 35-09.50. Jessica Fazekas tossed the shot put 43-05.75 for first place.
