Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Senior co-captain Alison Quandt has earned the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against No. 10 Clarkson. Despite losing the first game, 1-0, and then dropping the second game, 2-1, in overtime Quandt stopped 41 of 44 shots faced over the two-game span against the Golden Knights. Quandt earned Hockey East Player of the Week earlier this year when the Eagles defeated New Hampshire for the first time ever.
Freshman Becky Zavisza was named to the Hockey East honor roll this week for the fifth time after scoring BC's only goal in the two-game set against Clarkson. Zavisza continues to lead the Eagles in goals scored with 11 on the season and is second in points with 16.
Friday's shutout by Clarkson was only the second time this season the Eagles have failed to score a goal in a game.
The Eagles continue non-league play as they host the Yale Bulldogs tonight for the second time this season. The Eagles are off until next Monday when they travel to Northeastern on Jan. 9. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
