Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College earned its second win of the season with a 3-0 win over Northeast Conference foe Quinnipiac at Newton Campus Field.
Lennie McMillian put the Eagles on top early with a highlight reel goal from outside the box. The sophomore collected an errant clear and powered a volley into the upper left corner for his first goal of the season.
Five minutes later, the Eagles struck again when Sherron Manswell drove home a perfect feed from senior captain Bill Arnault to put the Eagles ahead 2-0.
In the second half, Satoshi Mitsuda would help Manswell add to his season goal total in dramatic fashion. Mitsuda used his blazing speed to escape Bobcat defenders and send a cross to Manswell who controlled his own rebound off the post and buried a header.
The Eagles controlled the tempo for most of the match with the defense keeping Quinnipiac's opportunities to a minimum. Goalkeeper Issey Maholo had four saves for the Eagles who have recorded back-to-back shutouts.
The non-conference slate continues for Boston College this Sunday at 1 p.m. against Northeastern at Newton Campus Field.
