Men's Golf Tees-Off at Blue Devil Invitational

New Britain, Conn. - The men's golf team competed at the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25. The Eagles placed third overall, with sophomore Jim Granello leading the way placing tied for third overall.
The Eagles competed against 68 other golfers and 12 teams in the two-day event. The course was a par-72 and covered 6,452 acres.
Granello shot a 71 and 74 in the two-round event to finish with a total of 145 and a plus-1. Classmate Bob Reed tied for fifth overall with rounds of 72 and 74 for a two day total of 146 and plus-2.
Junior Phil Holden placed tied for 29th, with rounds of 74 and 79. Sophomore Alex Snickenberger placed 34th overall, while junior Tim Holden tied for 39th. Holden entered the Inivitational as an individual.
Junior Ryan Sturma was the 42nd overall finisher.
Next up for the Eagles is the Joe Agee Invitational in Williamsburg, Va., on Monday, Oct. 3 and Tuesday, Oct. 4.
