Women's Cross Country Place Fourth at Quinnipiac Invitational

Hamden, Conn. - The women's cross country team competed at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Friday, Sept. 23. Freshman Mallory Champa was the top BC runner, placing second out of 112 runners. The team finished fourth out of nine teams.
Champa ran the course in 18 minutes, 16.3 seconds. Following Champa, was classmate Erika Somogyi, placing 20th overall with a time of 19:41.4.
Sophomore Jennifer Heyde was not far behind, placing 23rd overall with a time of 19:49.1. Classmate Mary Heitkamp finished 28th overall, completing the course in 20:03.3.
Freshmen Julia Stone and Maeve O'Regan placed 30th and 31st, respectively. Stone finished in 20:08.4, while O'Regan ran a 20:15.
Junior Courtney Reggo placed 53rd overall with a time of 20:49.4. Freshman Medena Knespl placed 72nd with a time of 21:21.1.
