Boston College and Fenway Sports Group have announced the creation of "W.B. Mason's BC Football Weekly", a 30-minute television series that debuted this past Saturday, Sept. 17, at 11:00 am on Boston's UPN38 (WSBK-TV).
Produced by BC and FSG, the series focuses solely on Boston College Football news and features as the team plays its first season within the Atlantic Coast Conference.
"This is another way to capture and help build the excitement around BC in the ACC this year," said Fenway Sports Group President, Mike Dee. "There is a growing demand for more information, highlights and features about BC Football and this show will appeal to the broad audience that follows college football."
Paul Devlin and Jayme Parker of NESN will host the show with news updates from BC radio football play-by-play announcer Jon Meterparel. Content will include interviews with Boston College Athletic Director Gene DiFilippo, Head Football Coach Tom O'Brien and numerous features taking viewers behind the scenes of BC football. W.B. Mason, the nation's largest privately held office products company, is the show's title sponsor.
"We're excited to add `W.B. Mason's BC Football Weekly' to our Saturday football lineup and know it will build a big following among college football fans,'' said Julio Marenghi, President and General Manager of CBS4 and UPN38 in Boston. "This is a perfect compliment to our weekly live ACC football coverage."
